Some of the Units I developed for the strategy game "The Gods Are Fickle" at Critique Gaming.
I was tasked with concepting and developing a unique visual identity for our units that would allow the writing team to create an interesting, lore rich setting.
The core of what I aimed to accomplish was creating unique, standout silhouettes through low poly models that could be quickly iterated and detailed. This was both to future-proof in case of future variations on the models, ensure compatibility with low-end and mobile devices, as well as speeding up the development process.
I have chosen to spotlight some of the four most unique classes out of the ten class units currently available in the game.
The game revolves around animated statues representing heroic avatars which the souls of long dead heroes inhabit in tactical skirmishes.
