This model was developed as part of my introductory course into modeling with Maya. For my assignment I had to model Thor's hammer from the MCU according to reference pictures provided to us by our teachers from AMC Romania as well as our own resources. The Cycles render was made to mimic the scene in Thor 1 where Thor tries to lift the hammer. The pillar was quickly sculpted in Zbrush and baked onto a low poly model. Its materials were made using the new Substance painter automatic UV Baking functionality. The markings were traced over from a movie reproduction prop in Photoshop and baked onto the textures in Substance painter.
